Abby Watrous is a Visiting Fellow with the American Meteorological Society Policy Program. Dr. Watrous was the 2012-2013 AMS-UCAR Congressional Fellow and worked on global health and food security issues for Congresswoman McCollum.
Her interests center around the connections between personal and planetary health, including systems of food, water, and energy. Abby spent 4 years living between Boulder and Beijing, in part as a Fulbright fellow to China where she explored home energy use among rural farmers and migrant workers.
She received a Masters and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Rice University.
